Conversely, there are individual “buyers,” who request sample articles to be written with the promise of a contract or a pending project. The project never comes to fruition and the client “stiffs” the writer because the product has been completed and delivered but payment is never made.
If buyers come to the membership for the writing of their projects and the writers also use The Writers’ Network membership to secure writing projects, then all can be assured of the adherence to the code of ethics.
A pledge can be broken and when The Writers Network code of ethics is broken by a member, they will be given the chance to make things right to the one who files a complaint or be expelled. There are monetary issues explained below.
The Writers’ Network provides the seal of accountability and responsibility where trust can be assumed and minimized risk by both buying clients and the producers of creative writing. The Writers’ Network will propagate business and set an ethical standard for the industry.
Quality creative writers need an association where they can “network” with their opposite number in the virtual assistant and marketing firms. The Writers’ Network will become a source to draw from with our mentoring program. The Writers’ Network will become the well of trusted experience and additionally, it will become the resource to grow a creative writing business in itself. The Writers’ Network will become a well of knowledge to draw from when help is needed on a project; members helping other members on a cooperative, volunteer basis.
There is no better advertising than word of mouth. Trust can be shared by a professional trade organization which will police its own regarding ethics and membership with regard to aiding its membership to secure business and thereby growing in a positive direction.
There will be a core advisory council of the first one hundred dues paying members. This “Core advisory Group” will become the initial directors of The Writers’ Network in helping to decide the direction and means of the organization.
The founding membership of The Writers’ Network will donate $100.00 per person to the start up costs of the organization and will be awarded the Charter membership status immediately. Afterwards in the organizing weeks ahead, the 100 advising directors will decide on the annual membership rate.
Note: The advisory core group will determine at a later date if the organization will become a non-profit or a for profit organization. Until the official charter, can be done by an attorney and the financial arrangements, occupational registration and permits are secured by Global Copywriting Service for The Writers’ Network and also secure and apply fund toward start up costs. Audits and accountability will be in open book protocol to the core group advisors. Immediately upon securing the above stated, items and issues, the transition of funds will be transferred.
Cooperative advertising and volume discounts for printing is already in place for those who become members. The Writers’ Network will continue to provide many benefits for the membership, including volume purchase power and many other types of benefits.
